Fantastic Mr Fox

In my opinion this is another great story written by Roald Dahl. I read Charlie and the Chocolate Factory many years ago and I liked it a lot. Nowadays, when I was reading Fantastic Mr Fox, I realised that Dahl is a very special writer with singular imagination which makes him a great story teller.
Despite being an easy book, there is a wide range of new and interesting vocabulary.
I highly recommend reading it. Enjoy as if you were a child!!

This is a very entertaining novel which shows us the life in Botswana. The main character, Mma Ratmoswe, lives without economic problems because she has worked hard to have a good life but there are other people who have a lot of problems and a difficult life.
It's a story of loneliness, loyalty and survival. I've liked it and I'd recommend it because it is easy to read.

Matilda. Roald Dahl

Matilda is apparently a children's book but I think that it also shows a hard reality whose cruelty only adults can value.
On the one hand the books tells a story that, unfortunately, is quite common for special or just different people who feel that nobody understands them and they are seem as if they belonged to another planet.
On the other hand Dahl shows a situation that nowadays is more and more frequent and it is a society that values the most superficial things, like physical appearance and money and, however, neglects some of the important values like respect, affection and sympathy.
This book is easy to read because of its structure which is divided into short chapters where the author tells us highly gifted chil's exciting and funny adventures. It is very interesting and entertaining and I would recommend it to readers of any age.

It's one of thehardest books I've ever read. Its main characters, Mariam and Laila will stay in my mind for ever. They made me know just how lucky I am to be a Spanish woman and how unfortunate people can be in some countries...
Reading this novel by Khaled Hosseini has made me have strong feelings because you feel the pain and the sorrow these women do. I would strongly recommend it. It's unforgattable!!!
